You may already be Catholic or are linked in friendship or marriage to a Catholic? You may be a regular visitor to our weekend Masses and have decided that you would like to be a fuller member of our faith community? You may instead be at a particular point in terms of developing your own spirituality and feel there could be still more that you could learn and experience to further develop your spiritual life? Whatever the reason for opening this page we welcome you and would like to do all that we can to answer some of the questions that you might have about the Catholic Church and how you could find a place in the community of the Church. I would recommend that you visit the diocesan web site (www.rcdhn.org.uk) and go straight to the really informative section headed “Formation”
If you decide that you want to know more, why not come along and have a chat with me about our programme of preparation and what sort of commitment will be asked of you in terms of time etc? If the idea of becoming Catholic still appeals and you want to take it a stage further, simply fill out the form below. It couldn’t be easier! You will then be invited to become part of a group and together we will explore questions and issues and develop your understanding of what it means to be a member of a catholic community. The great thing about these sessions is the friendliness and warmth of the group members who like you want to know more. Don’t take our word for it, experience it for yourself!
I am interested in coming along to a ‘no strings attached’ information evening to find out what is involved in becoming a full member of the Catholic Church. If I decide to come along on other occasions after the initial meeting, I understand that no decision in relation to becoming a Catholic will be asked of me until the very end of the preparation programme.
