St Aidan's Film Night

How about spending a Saturday evening once a month in the company of other parishioners watching a film?  Film night will be making a return to St Aidan's Parish Room again next month so all you have to do is to bring yourself, your friends, eats and drinks, sit back, relax and enjoy the film.  There is no charge for the event!

With the continuing success of the current arrangements, we have another special film night DOUBLE BILL every month starting at 5pm with a family film as chosen for our young people, followed by an older persons choice at 7pm - though still rated as a 12 and suitable for family so feel free to come along and stay for both films....bring a cushion and don't forget your popcorn!!

Next Showing - Saturday 1st June - 5pm & 7pm.  Films TBC

St Aidan’s Skills Demonstration:

As part of our ongoing Skills Programme with the Craft & Chatter group we are now offering a 6week course to learn some basic woodworking.  Places are strictly limited so please sign up as soon as possible to make sure you can get involved.

It is so encouraging to see people coming forward to share their skills, thanks to Melvyn Abrahams for running the first session of the basic woodwork course.  We have several more volunteers willing to share their skills. We will run a single wine tasting session before Christmas and if there is sufficient interest run further sessions in the New Year, and we will also run a number of sessions on relaxation techniques (including massage) and complimentary therapies in the New Year. Further information on how to sign up will follow. If you have skills you could share—please let us know, the variety of skills that people in our congregations have never ceases to amaze me—and you might be amazed what people would be interested to learn!

Next event - Thursday 1st November (Week 3)

This is just a small sample of our upcoming events, with our Summer Programme in the planning stages  - please check the current newsletter for more information and lots more to follow as we move through the year.

If there is an event that you would like to see or even better that you think you can help to make happen then please let us know!
