St Aidan’s Skills Demonstration:

As part of our ongoing Skills Programme with the Craft & Chatter group we are now offering a 6week course to learn some basic woodworking.  Places are strictly limited so please sign up as soon as possible to make sure you can get involved.

It is so encouraging to see people coming forward to share their skills, thanks to Melvyn Abrahams for running the first session of the basic woodwork course.  We have several more volunteers willing to share their skills. We will run a single wine tasting session before Christmas and if there is sufficient interest run further sessions in the New Year, and we will also run a number of sessions on relaxation techniques (including massage) and complimentary therapies in the New Year. Further information on how to sign up will follow. If you have skills you could share—please let us know, the variety of skills that people in our congregations have never ceases to amaze me—and you might be amazed what people would be interested to learn!

Next event - Thursday 1st November (Week 3)

This is just a small sample of our upcoming events of our Autumn Programme - please check the current newsletter for more information and lots more to follow as we move through the year.

If there is an event that you would like to see or even better that you think you can help to make happen then please let us know!

Mass for the Sick & Housebound

We will celebrate a Mass for the Siick & Housebound of our Parish community this October. Please think about those who are missing and who you would like to see at that celebration. Better still offer them transport if at all possible.

This Mass is always a very special occasion, the Sacrament of the Sick is especially approriate for anyone at any stage of illness - especially the fist stages - that may result in death or if they find themselves at a stage of life where they are  no longer able to attend Sunday Mass. The emphasis throughout the Mass is on the person of Jesus, who loves them through and through, and journeys with them in all the difficulties they may face.

Next event - Saturday 19th October @ St Aidan's - 10.00am
