St Aidan's Film Night
How about spending early Saturday evening once a month in the company of other parishioners watching a film? All you have to do is to bring yourself, your friends, eats and drinks, sit back and watch the film. There is no charge for the event!
As the next event will take place during the
season of Lent we would like to show a film that explores the themes of
forgiveness and reconciliation.
Film: Railway Man (Cert 12A)
A former British Army officer, who was tortured as a prisoner of
war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II, discovers that the man
responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront
Saturday 3rd March - 6.30pm in St Aidan’s Parish Room.
St Aidan’s Luncheon Club:
The luncheon club meet on the last Friday of every month in the parish room as well as every Friday during Lent
The next lunch date will be Friday 23rd February serving at 12 noon serving a hearty home cooked meal. This is an event that you can confidently bring your friends along to, not only is the food freshly cooked but the company is also great and lively!
There is no charge for the lunch but the opportunity will be given in lieu to make a charitable donation to well known charities nominated on the day.
During Lent the chosen charity is: CAFOD
Get your dancing shoes dusted off—we will be
holding our St Patricks Day Ceilidh on Thursday 15th March. Tickets will cost
£5 and will be on sale from February 18th—our Ceilidh’s are always great fun
and a great way of getting to know people. Make sure you book a slot in your
diary as I am sure the tickets will sell fast.
